While receiving a contractor bid is typically free, a Project Feasibility Report (PFR) is a great option for those who don’t yet know what they plan to build and do not have a design for their ADU. Most contractors require a design before providing a bid and most builders will give you a biased recommendation based on their products and services. HOMEPLEX, on the other hand, acts as your advocate to recommend the best solution for your unique circumstances. HOMEPLEX validates which ADU options are viable on your property and are within your budget, and provides you a scope of work. Only once design is complete can contractors submit bids making an apples to apples comparison easy.
The Project Feasibility Report includes:
A 50% deposit is due upon ordering the report with 50% due upon delivery. If you applied for a grant through CCEDA, only a $250 deposit is due now. This 10% deposit is applied to the $2,500 cost. The HOMEPLEX PROJECT FEASIBILITY REPORT (PFR) will be invoiced and approved for payment by CCEDA to be paid directly out of your ADU Grant funds, upon funding as a pre-construction expense and should be added to your pre-construction cost worksheet). In the event you are not approved and funded for the grant you may chose to either cancel (and keep the Virtual Site Assessment), or pay the remaining fee for delivery of the full PFR.

The HOMEPLEX Project Feasibility Report can typically be delivered within 15 business days of the Site Assessment appointment (depending on your site location). If you have applied for an ADU Grant, we will provide the Virtual Site Assessment (VSA) within a week of your call with your HOMEPLEX advisor in order to provide the first step of the full Project Feasibility Report as soon as possible.
